Version History

Version 5
(16th March 2012)

General Improvements and Changes
-Tower of Trials bonus point rewards changed to give increasing amounts per floor, however the total reward gained per block remains the same (this is to prevent the early floors in each block being continuously repeated as a method to easily obtain bonus points)
-Messages now appear when using the elevators on Magma Isle detailing the approaching floor number
-The item Retracer has been moved to the bottom of the item menu to prevent accidental use (previously it appear next to the Rejector item which has a similar name)
Bug Fixes
-Modification made to remote enemy code to prevent stats from one area being carried over to a new area when multiple players change area at a similar time
-On an enemy defeating all the players in its hate list the enemy will now immediate return to wandering (previously the enemy would remain in chase mode for a split second rather than wander meaning the agro distance was more than it should be for a brief period of time)
-When changing areas remote players will appear in their correct positions rather than their previous position and move to or pop in the new position
-On Magma Isle remote player's equipment will no longer occasionally be drawn in the incorrect positions (previously if a remote player was close on the map their equipment would be drawn in the wrong place if they were actually considerable distance away due to the tower's height)
-When walking or teleporting into Magma Isle the starting position will now be correct even if a Retracer had been used on the elevator before
-Magma isle boss agro calculation modified to take into account player's height preventing the boss attacking players on a lower section of the tower
-A trial objective message no longer appears after using a Tower Warper on the 100th floor of the Tower of Trials to return to the ground floor of Magma Isle
-The maximum sound levels adjusted in the config menu have been reduced slightly to prevent distortion on a couple of sounds, however the default levels remain as before
-Corrected two spelling mistakes in the new quests ("belived" & "constuct")

Version 4
(24th February 2012)

New Content
- 4 areas: Osprey Mines, Hackberry Cove, Magma Isle & Tower Of Trials (100 floors)
- New equipment types: Bows & Arrows (When a bow is equipped the shield equipment selection is replaced with an arrow selection. An arrow is used with each attack and more arrows can be purchased from a weapons shop)
- 10 equipment upgrades
- 12 quests with rewards
- 3 beast types: Rats, Snails & Frogs
- Addition of Bonus Points and the Proficiency System. Once a player has earned full Experience Points at level 99, Bonus Points will be earned instead. These in turn give Proficiency Credits which can be used to increase Proficiency Upgrades. The upgrades will allow the following to be increased further: HP, AP, healing rate, movement speed, item use speed, item healing strength, enhancing status duration, enfeeble status resistance, money gained and item drop rate
- Addition of objective based areas (Tower Of Trials). Each floor in this area has an objective to complete. By completing an objective the player will be given a Bonus Point reward and the next floor will be unlocked. The tower is split into blocks of 10 floors and there is also a boss battle at the top of each block. Completing a block will result in the elevator for that block being unlocked General Improvements and Changes
- Quantity selection for buying/selling items at shops (previously one item at a time)
- Website address added to game's opening screen
- "Extreme Jogging" advert added to other adverts shown on exit screen
- Tell your friends message updated for dashboard changes
- Improved chatpad support (The chat bar now responds correctly when a chatpad is plugged into controllers 2-4 and pressing the green & orange buttons allows symbols to be input)
Bug Fixes
- Ability animation no longer shown if a remote player or remote enemy has the status of Amnesia and this successfully blocks the ability
- 8 quest/mission rewards which were sellable in the original version and change to non-sellable in a later version are now given back if they had been accidentally sold (elemental daggers & pumps)
- Fixed audio issue where sound effects for remote player's avatars might not play in a network session

Version 3
(4th June 2011)

New Content
- 4 areas: Cashew City Battle Arena, Vulture Mines, Ancient Gardens & Chaos Castle (5 floors)
- 53 pieces of equipment (including 4 new pieces of heros equipment)
- 7 quests with rewards
- 3 beast types: Beetles, Crows & Green Butterflies
- Battle arena area added to Cashew City. (Players can choose to battle solo or as teams in this free for all PvP event area. Contest points are awarded when a player is defeated, the numbers of points is based upon proportion of damage inflicted, team involvement and who landed the final blow. These points can be traded at a shop in Cashew City for various rewards) General Improvements and Changes
- The chat system has been changed so that a chat bar appears above the message window for typing. When using a controller for writing messages a text input window appears at the top left. This replaces the pop up guide message input box. (An option has been added to the config menu to switch between the default chat bar system and the previous guide pop up system)
- The expanded message window now has five modes to filter between all, player, area, team and world chat messages. These can be selected by pressing left or right with the expanded message window opened. To accommodate this the maximum messages displayed has been reduced from 28 to 27
- An option has been added to the config menu to filter battle messages between "All", "Team" and "Self". In "Team" mode battle messages relating only to members outside of the team will not added to the message window. In "Self" mode actions taken by team members to others will not added to the message window, however enemy attacks against the team will still be shown
- Keyboard shortcuts added for most main menu options using the "Left Control" key and for chat menu options using the "Left Shift" key (two additional pages added to controls menu to detail all keyboard shortcuts)
- Using the "Right Control" key on the keyboard for menu override now allows the camera to be moved while a menu is opened and avatar movement while the chat bar is up
- Upon receiving a team invite or trade request a sound effect is now played and an icon will flash on the player's HP/AP window
- Upon receiving a chat message directly from a player a sound effect is now played
- Exp chain time rate reduced outside of battle for parties with less than 6 players (reduction calculated proportionally for 50% when solo and 0% with full party)
- Player names on the blacklist menu are now coloured green when allowed and red when blocked
- The chat system can now be used while the trade menus are open
- The target pointer now changes colour when a target is within range to engage
- Sensitivity for auto run direction adjustment when using keyboard reduced
- Items that cannot be used in battle are no longer displayed on the battle item menu
- Items on equipment menus automatically sorted by level (previously needed list entries to be in order meaning future equipment would have been out of order)
- Equipped items no longer shown on shop sell lists (this was still prevented before and a message would appear on attempting to sell)
- Upon using save & exit, on the initial press start screen pressing enter on the keyboard will default to the last used controller number's profile preventing the need to turn the controller on again if the game was being played with a keyboard
- On controller disconnection in offline mode the game will no longer pause if a keyboard has previously been used Bug Fixes
- On closing and reopening a player selection list for chat or inviting a team member, the last player is now reselected correctly and the menu selector & starting position adjusted accordingly
- Trade system improved so that changing an item after both players have confirmed should always ask both players to reconfirm the trade rather the trade occasionally be carried out for one player but not the other (3 seconds between both players accepting allowed for change detection before the items were actually traded, however due to network lag the countdown for both players could start at slightly different times causing an issue if a change occurred at precisely the right time near the end of the countdown)
- In the fairly rare event that 2 players not in the same team are added to enemies hate list at the same time (caused when attacking at almost the same time before each player knows about the other player's attack or moving into agro range at the same time) both players may still engage rather than both players receive an "already claimed" message preventing unnecessary zoning of the enemy
- When skipping through the starting menus quickly, the left hand menu can no longer be only partially faded in
- The player target for curative and enhancing abilities is no longer reset when an attack occurs with auto-attack
- Elemental daggers obtained from missions are no longer sellable at shops or tradable as they cannot be obtained again
- Autorun now cancelled on talking to shop NPC

Version 2
(26th February 2011)

General Improvements and Changes
- Timebar in battle mode now 20% quicker
- Above level 50, it took 60 seconds to get up on KO. This has been reduced to 30 seconds like most other levels
- On getting up from KO, HP goes to 30% rather than 1
- HP/AP regen on healing increased by 30%
- Received chat messages now show area, team or world in brackets next to the sender's name
- Area chat message colour changed as it was too similar to the team chat message colour
- Boss movement speed increased by 25%
Bug Fixes
- The country for each player is no longer shown in the player window. When joining a world previously this was one of the main causes of game lag. When there was a higher number of players within the world, it could take upto 3-4 seconds for a new player to receive this country information, during this time the game would lag and the connection possibly be dropped. It was nice to know each player's country, but the improvement on network performance is much more worthwhile. If you want to see a player's country you may be able to using the recent player list on the guide or even just by asking them. I may be able to add this back at a later date, but i will need to use a different method
- Preventative measures are now taken to stop freezes occurring when trying to search and join a world
- The way initial avatar data is sent & received has been improved reducing network traffic on a player joining
- Auto run now cancelled on KO
- Experience point exploits by rezoning have been removed
- Bosses with high HP were not being synchronized correctly, this affected 3 enemies within the game. These will now show the correct HP percentage
- While on mission 6, Arthur would start mission 7 if you spoke to him rather than the correct NPC (mission 6 still needed to be completed so it didn't skip the mission or cause other issues)
- One of the four quests required to open the big gate in Eskar Range had the wrong reference and required a package quest to be completed instead. The correct pillar quest is now referenced
- Shard quests had to be completed in sequence if each quest was started. Now these quests are independent of each other
- A duplicate gamer ID from a previous world could cause trade issues or message spam when inviting a player into a team. This issue has now been resolved by changes to the network player identification system
- Corrected a few NPC names within the descriptions on the quest menu
- Scroll arrows on remote player list menus moved into right places
- Enfeebling abilities were not always correct and could be seen differently by other players
- Game no longer resets to title screen but rather goes to offline mode on network cable being removed
- Titanium Sword cost raised to 190000 credits (previously lower than Gold Sword cost)
- Mega-Vitaliser & Giga-Vitaliser costs increased as respective replenish types were more expensive
